From a precipitation point of view Elm Pond is a reasonably common place; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Elm Pond is magnificent fun, Big Mineral Camp is a magnificent       local campground; if you need a place to stay Hampton Inn is a glorious choice. The warmest time of the year at Elm Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and the overnight is slightly chillier of course, usually in the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Elm Pond. Soldier Creek Resort and Marina is a tremendous campground here, and you can go for a hike on the Eisenhower State Park Trail.
