Going for a hike on the Lake Somerville Trailway is always a magnificent adventure. From a rain point of view Edwards Lake is a quite common location; the month with most of the rain is May; August on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Edwards Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Somerville-Nails is a wonderful site for that, and dry       warm beds await you at Ramada Limited At Giddings. Edwards Lake Dam is a place that is in the neighborhood of Edwards Lake, and if you're visiting from Brenham, you won't be the only one. High temperatures at Edwards Lake through the days of summer are in the 90's, and the night is slightly cooler of course, generally in the 70's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 50's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Edwards Lake temperatures                  plunge to the 30's.
