The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Dry Lake, and the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 60's, and overnight lows at Dry Lake during the winter typically dip into the 20's. Balmorhea Lake       is a brilliant lake in the neighborhood of Dry Lake, and Needle Point is something you shouldn't miss while you're here. Not much precipitation falls here at Dry Lake; September is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is March. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do in close proximity to Dry Lake. Dry Lake is not far at all from Pecos. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Dry Lake has to offer,                  you can camp at Overland Trail Campground, and you can observe Carpenter Mountain from Dry Lake.
