After a long day outdoors La Copa Alamo is a good place to spend a night or two, and Short Shot Golf Course is a wonderful golf course close by. Lots of folks from McAllen-Edinburg-Pharr come to Donna Reservoir 2, and you can stay the night at Country Side Park. Alamo Inn is a great place to get some rest, and Acacia Mobile and RV Park is a great campground here. Through       the warm days of summer at Donna Reservoir 2 temperatures are usually in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 60's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Donna Reservoir 2 temperatures fall to the 40's. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Take a hike on the Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge Trail. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Santa Ana National Wildlife                  Refuge Trail; if you've had enough of Donna Reservoir 2, Donna Reservoir 1 is close by.
