At Lake Tanglewood Dam near Currie Lake there are some interesting things to see, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Santa Fe is a magnificent site to spend a night or two. A brilliant site to camp here at Currie Lake is The Village East RV Park, and a tour to Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument is worthwhile. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Here at Currie Lake you'll almost certainly       meet some people from Amarillo, and if you yearn for a little side visit, try Cedar Way Draw. This lake is so wonderful. Currie Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Amarillo Ranch Recreational Vehicle Park is a great local campground; Devils Kitchen is right here at Currie Lake. Summertime highs at Currie Lake typically tend to be in the 90's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. During the wintertime highs are mostly                  in the 40's while Currie Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel Amarillo, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Palo Duro Canyon State Park Trail.
