    The beauty of Currie Lake is reason enough to stop by. Go for a hike on the Palo Duro Canyon State Park Trail, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Amarillo for sure. If you came for an overnight stay Amarillo Ranch Recreational Vehicle Park is a brilliant place to camp, and Best Western Santa Fe is a nice place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
Currie Lake is frequently a relatively dehydrated spot; most of the rain falls during
 
   June, and December meanwhile is the driest month. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 90's at Currie Lake. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. Highs all through the wintertime are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Currie Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Not far from Currie Lake you get some splendid water scenery at Lake Tanglewood Dam, and Cedar Way Draw is a nice location  
               to check out.
Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Currie Lake. The Village East RV Park is a splendid campground nearby; Devils Kitchen is a nice place to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel Amarillo, and as expected, this is a great neighborhood for people who like lakes, Palo Duro Club Lake is a lake in the vicinity. Do pay a visit to Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument if you're here at Currie Lake, and you're probably hooked on lakes, Lake Tanglewood is one of those nearby.
