     Why not take a refreshing hike along the Mount Hope Tract Trail, and you can run the rapids of Neches River. Summertime at Crystal Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 70's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Crystal Lake during the wintertime typically dip into the 30's. There's so much to do here at Crystal Lake that you need to camp here  
   for a while, R Place RV Park and Campgrounds is a tremendous site for that; do take a look at Snake Creek if you're here at Crystal Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
You'll need more than a day to discover everything Crystal Lake has to offer, you can camp at Serenity RV Park and Campgrounds, and this is a popular site for folks from Palestine. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Crystal Lake; Nature Trail is a perfect local trail,
 
               and you'll locate a beautiful lake called Killion Lake. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Crystal Lake. Crystal Lake Dam is a place that is in close proximity to Crystal Lake, and a brilliant close by hotel is Quality Inn & Suites.
Holiday Inn Express PALESTINE is a delightful location to get some rest, and while you're here, you could also visit striking Williams Lake. Crystal Lake frequently gets much rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; August on the other hand is the driest.

...ly do-able float. There's not really any fast water to speak of, but you need to be prepared to make short portages and negotiate downed timber in the water. One area in particular you will need to tie some line off to your kayak and let it float under a downed tree, you crawl over the tree and then get back in. I'm sure the when and where the trees are down changes quite often.... And it looks like someone (probably the river authority) takes a saw down and cuts some of this out from time to time.

The put in location is correct. However, the take out is not. You need to float further down to the 175 bridge (less than 1/4th mile) and get out there.

I would suggest that experienced paddlers attempt this only when the water is high from heavy rains or when the dam is letting a lot of water out. There's vegetative litter stuck in the trees 10 foot above the water line.... So at some points of the year... This thing moves... And could represent dangers with the amount of timber.

You might consider taking a machete on this trip just in case. Don't forget the fishing p...
