There's whitewater on James River for all you adrenaline kick people, and Coyote Lake sits in the shade of the Cannon Mountains. From a rainfall point of view Coyote Lake is a relatively common location; May is the month that gets the most rain while December is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Llano River RV Park is a tremendous campground nearby; you get a splendid vista of Cannon Mountains       from here. Throughout the summertime highs here at Coyote Lake reach the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's; overnight lows at Coyote Lake all through the winter mostly dip into the 30's.
