The beauty of Cooper Lake is reason enough to stop by. Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn San Marcos; you can stay the night at San Marcos River Retreat. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Ramada Limited San Marcos is a great choice, and Cooper Lake Dam is not far at all from Cooper Lake. This lake is so wonderful.

Going for a hike on the Lockhart State Park Trail is always a fine adventure. Lakes are brilliant; M D Heatly Reservoir is a lake that's in close proximity to Cooper Lake. Any time is a perfect time at Cooper Lake if you go for the outdoors. Cooper Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Shady Grove Campground is a great spot to camp nearby, and of course,
this is a great area for people who like lakes, Grouskay-Fisher Lake is a lake around here. A common amount of rain falls here at Cooper Lake; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and March is when it's the
driest. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend San Marcos River, and there are perfect spots to explore along the Prospect Park Trail.
