Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not stop by Forman Lake in the neighborhood of Coon Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Neches Bluff Trail. Why not check out close by Butler Branch while you're here at Coon Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Executive Inn. Yeah, come here to Coon Pond for a great time. Pine Springs Campground is a nice campground nearby, and going for       a hike on the Mission Tejas State Park Trail is always a great adventure. For the duration of the summer highs here at Coon Pond reach the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 70's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Coon Pond are in the 30's. At Coon Pond you always meet someone from Jacksonville, and if you came for an overnight stay Neches Bluff Campground is a great spot to                  camp. Chain of Lakes is a good lake near Coon Pond, and great hiking is available along the Old Tram Hiking Trail.
