All the water falling down from the sky makes Coon Pond a wet site; May is the wettest month with most rain, and August meanwhile is the driest month. There are plenty of folks from Jacksonville here at Coon Pond, and Butler Branch is in close proximity to Coon Pond and is always a delight to check out. Not far from Coon Pond, you'll hit upon Brushy Lake which is a gorgeous lake, and hiking along the Mission Tejas State Park Trail       is great fun. Dry warm beds await you at Weston Inn & Suites; Pine Springs Campground is a good campground here. This lake is so wonderful. Southern Motor Inn is a perfect spot to get some rest; going for a hike along the Neches Bluff Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
