You don’t have to go far from Coon Lake to observe the water at Fay Ranch Dam; since you're here you can take a hike along the San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge Trail. This lake is       so wonderful. After a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn AND Suites Bay City is a perfect spot to spend a night or two, and Lighthouse Landing RV Park is a perfect campground nearby. Summer at Coon Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's with overnight lows in the 70's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's; during the dark hours in the winter at Coon Lake temperatures drop to the 40's. The high level of rainfall makes Coon Lake a                  rather wet place; the month with most of the rain is September, and the driest month of the year is March. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time.
