Why not camp at Lighthouse Landing RV Park while you're here at Coon Lake, and Coon Lake is right by the San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Coon Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 70's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 60's, and overnight lows at Coon Lake throughout       the winter typically fall into the 40's. Lakes are tremendous; Lake Bowie is a lake that's in the vicinity of Coon Lake, and if you need a place to stay La Quinta Inn AND Suites Bay City is a good choice. A wonderful close by hotel is Econo Lodge Bay City, and naturally, this is a great vicinity for people who like lakes, Fay Ranch Reservoir is a lake in close proximity. The high level of precipitation makes Coon Lake a relatively wet location; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is March.
