This is a splendid area for folks who like lakes. Underwood Lake is a lake around here, and Colonial House Lake is right by the Elm Fork Nature Preserve Trail. A tremendous close by hotel is Rodeway Inn Carrollton, and Colonial House Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Sandy Lake RV Park is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Suites The Colony is       a delightful place to spend a night or two; if you come at the right time of year, White Rock Creek offers some pleasant whitewater. High temperatures at Colonial House Lake during the long summer days are in the 90's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while the cold winter nights at Colonial House Lake are in the 30's. Just can't get enough of Colonial House Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit                  Furneaux Creek, and you'll almost certainly meet some people from Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington here. Camping at Lewisville Mobile Home Park is always a brilliant experience, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Columbian Club Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the L B Houston Park Nature Trail; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Carrollton City of Indian Creek Golf Club. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve Trail, and Colonial House Lake Dam is gorgeous.
