     Club Thirteen Lake is a nice lake to visit. Noonday RV Park is a nice campground nearby, and going for a hike on the Tyler State Park Trail is always a wonderful adventure. Through the days of summer, highs typically are in the 90's at Club Thirteen Lake. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Club Thirteen Lake. This lake is so wonderful.  
   You'll meet a lot of people from Tyler here, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Neches River.
If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Club Thirteen Lake. Cade's Cove is a great local campground; Club Thirteen Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. The yearly rainfall here at Club Thirteen Lake is about average; May is the month that gets the most rain while August
 
               is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Looking for something next to Club Thirteen Lake? Lake Placid is in close proximity; dry warm beds await you at Baymont Inn and Suites Tyler.

...ar you will need to tie some line off to your kayak and let it float under a downed tree, you crawl over the tree and then get back in. I'm sure the when and where the trees are down changes quite often.... And it looks like someone (probably the river authority) takes a saw down and cuts some of this out from time to time.

The put in location is correct. However, the take out is not. You need to float further down to the 175 bridge (less than 1/4th mile) and get out there.

I would suggest that experienced paddlers attempt this only when the water is high from heavy rains or when the dam is letting a lot of water out. There's vegetative litter stuck in the trees 10 foot above the water line.... So at some points of the year... This thing moves... And could represent dangers with the amount of timber.

You might consider taking a machete on this trip just in case. Don't forget the fishing pole, or if you are an archer, a bow for the huge gar and buffalo. There's plenty of fishin to do .
