A great site to camp here at City Lake is Canton Marketplace RV Park, and getting to Dry Creek from City Lake is easy. The high level of precipitation makes City Lake a rather wet location; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; August on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail right next door to City Lake called the Purtis Creek State Park Trail,       and Best Western Canton Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest. You don’t have to go far from City Lake to spot the water at Canton City Lake Dam, and dry warm beds await you at Canton - Days Inn. City Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Curry's Trade Grounds and RV Park is a pleasant local campground, and nearby you come across the Lake Tawakoni State Park Trail which is a good hiking trail. So much amusing stuff to do here at City Lake,                  too magnificent to be true. The peak of Red Hill can be spotted from City Lake. During the long summer days highs here at City Lake get into the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 70's.
