The Jim Hogg State Historical Park Trail offers hiking at its best. That right there is a heap already, but it continues; City Lake has it all. A brilliant place to camp here at City Lake is Rusk Palestine State Park, and for you golfers we recommend close by Rolling Hills Golf Course. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Executive Inn, and City Lake is right by the Neches Bluff       Trail. City Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Rusk KOA is a tremendous local campground, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Jacksonville, Tx is a great choice. The high level of rain makes City Lake a quite wet spot; May is the month that gets the most rain, and August is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some fine people from Jacksonville here; naturally College                  Creek flows through this neighborhood. Summer brings highs in the 90's to City Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 70's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at City Lake are in the 30's.
