    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Chain of Lakes. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Chain of Lakes. San Pedro Creek flows through this vicinity, and tremendous hiking is available along the Old Tram Hiking Trail. Chain of Lakes is a wet site that gets a good deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is August.

   Tx is a great choice, and going for a hike on the Mission Tejas State Park Trail is always a delightful adventure. This is a wonderful vicinity for people who like lakes. Chain of Lakes is a lake in the vicinity, and if you came for an overnight stay Pine Springs Campground is a nice place to camp. All through the summer months at Chain of Lakes temperatures are mostly in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 70's. Through the winter highs  
               are in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Chain of Lakes.
Why not camp at Neches Bluff Campground since you're here at Chain of Lakes. Lakes are delightful; Pearman Lake is a lake that's near Chain of Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular spot for people from Jacksonville, and you can go for a hike on the Neches Bluff Trail.

Just hiked the 20 mile trail north to south yesterday. Nice terrain, but the trail is in horrible shape. It looks like there has been no maintenence this year. In some parts, brush covering the trail was higher than my head....The Four C's is a beautiful trail, representative of the pinewoods area. Be familiar with landmarks as they can be very tricky....
