Summer at Chain of Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 90's with night lows in the 70's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Chain of Lakes. Why not camp at Pine Springs Campground since you're here at Chain of Lakes, and there's great hiking along the Mission Tejas       State Park Trail. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. A great location to camp here at Chain of Lakes is Neches Bluff Campground, obviously you could also take a look at Pearman Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. San Pedro Creek is in close proximity to Chain of Lakes and is always a bliss to stop by, and Chain of Lakes is right by the Old Tram Hiking Trail. Chain of Lakes is a wet place that gets lots of rain; most of the rain falls                  throughout May while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
