Villas at Flying L Guest Ranch is a fine spot to get some rest, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cibolo Nature Center Trail. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do close to Castle Lake. Castle Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Pomarosa RV Park is a perfect local campground; Castle       Lake is right by the Hill Country State Natural Area Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Tapatio Springs Golf Resort. Lakes? Sure, Berry Lake is in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Lightning Ranch is a good spot to do that; a tremendous place to visit nearby is Cherry Hollow. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Medina River; Christophs Lake is a glorious lake                  nearby. Castle Lake gets a common amount of annual rainfall; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is January. High temperatures at Castle Lake throughout the summer are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 70's.
