Dinosaur Valley State Park is a nice local campground, and you're sure to run into some wonderful folks from Granbury here. High temperatures at Campbell Lake       through the summer months are in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 70's. During the winter the highs are typically in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Campbell Lake through the wintertime mostly fall into the 20's. If you get bored of Campbell Lake, you could also go to nearby El Colina Lake Number 7; close by you hit upon the Meridian State Park Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. There is a splendid hiking trail next to Campbell                  Lake called the Cleburne State Park Trail, and a delightful nearby hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff near Campbell Lake. Houston Lake Number 1 is a nearby lake that you could go to, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Steele Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Paluxy River; going for a hike on the Bosque Trail is always a brilliant adventure. This lake is so wonderful.
