    A visit to Caldwell Lake is always a good idea. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Caldwell Lake with night lows in the 70's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Caldwell Lake. Good hiking is available along the Ray Roberts Greenbelt Corridor Trail, and SUPER 8 MOTEL - GAINESVILLE, TX is a magnificent place to get some rest. There are wonderful places to explore along the Jordon Park  
   Trail; why not camp at Ray Roberts State Park since you're here at Caldwell Lake.
If you need a spot to stay Valley View Inn and Suites is a perfect choice, and Sunshine Farms RV Park is a great local campground. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Caldwell Lake. Caldwell Lake Dam is a stunning location near Caldwell Lake; a lake close by is B and L Ranch Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Caldwell Lake without first going for a hike
 
               along the Elm Fork Greenbelt Trail, and if you get bored of Caldwell Lake you could also take a look at nearby Hammond Lake. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Caldwell Lake; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.
