Shift-Tail Lake is close at hand, and a splendid close by hotel is Super 8 Shreveport. All the water falling down from the sky makes Caddo Lake a wet place; November is when you get the most rain here; August is the month with the least moisture. Getting to Black Bayou from Caddo Lake is easy, and after a long day outdoors Courtyard Shreveport is a delightful site to spend a night or two. All through       the summer months here at Caddo Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 70's. During the winter highs are in the 50's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Caddo Lake plunge into the 30's. There is a glorious hiking trail right next door to Caddo Lake called the Caddo Lake State Park Trail. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up.
