This lake is so wonderful.       Going for a hike on the Elm Fork Nature Preserve Trail is always a great adventure, and while you're here, you could also visit beautiful North Lake. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Cabell Lake Dam, and if you came to camp The Vineyards Campground on Lake Grapevine is a splendid place to do that. From a rainfall point of view Cabell Lake is a pretty common place; May is the wettest month with most rain, and January is when                  it's the driest. Go for a hike on the Walnut Grove Trail. There's so much to do here at Cabell Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Irving View Recreational Park is a good site for that. There are nice locations to explore along the L B Houston Park Nature Trail; in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Denton Creek. Furneaux Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. All through the summertime here at Cabell Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 70's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Cabell Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
