Sheek Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth going to, and Waco-Days Inn is a glorious location to get some rest. Burnett Lake Dam is striking and it's close to Burnett Lake, and almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, K Bar Lake Number 3 is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Childress Creek;       if you came for an overnight stay Thousand Trails is a nice place to camp. That right there is a heap already, but it goes on; Burnett Lake has it all. Why not camp at Brazos River RV Park if you're here at Burnett Lake, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Cameron Park Hike and Bike Trail. Going for a hike along the Lake Whitney State Park Hiking Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; you'll almost                  certainly meet some people from Waco here. Burnett Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is December. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Hog Creek for all you adrenaline people. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Burnett Lake reach the 90's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. All through the winter highs are mostly in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Burnett Lake.
