A visit to Buchannan Lake is always a good idea. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Denton Creek, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington. Buchannan Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Post Oak Place is a delightful local campground, and you can go for a hike on the Knob Hills Trail. After a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Roanoke is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two, and let's not forget

This site is great, just check out all the amusing things to do close to Buchannan Lake. Do stop at Turner Lake near Buchannan Lake, it's a wonderful lake, and good hiking is available along the Walnut Grove Trail. warm days of summer at Buchannan Lake highs are typically in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 70's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures
at Buchannan Lake sink into the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. There's fine hiking along the South Lakes Park Trail; a good close by hotel is Sleep Inn , Inn & Suites Speedway. This lake is so wonderful. There are some magnificent
whitewater spots on Trinity River - West Fork, and an interesting thing to explore near Buchannan Lake is Buchannan Lake Dam. The annual rainfall here at Buchannan Lake is about average; most of the rain falls throughout May; January is the month with the least moisture.
Golf can be played at Doral Tesoro Golf Club.

Twin Points will no longer be a park open to the public while a gas well has been built less than 300' from the swimming area. The Tarrant Regional Water District may reopen the area as a park in the undetermined future, most likely after 2012....Information on Burger's Lake dead end of Meandering road is a spring fed pond approx size of 4 olympic size pools with sand, trees, tables.
