This lake is so wonderful. Do stop by Hargrove Lake near Brushy Lake, it's a wonderful lake; Duren Lake Dam is a stunning site. Brushy Lake is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Neches Bluff Campground is a fine spot to camp nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff next to Brushy Lake. La Quinta Inn and Suites       Jacksonville is a good place to get some rest, and you can go for a hike on the Neches Bluff Trail. Brushy Lake gets a lot of water; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is August. Stay the night at Mouth of Hickory Creek Campground; hiking is a popular thing to do around Brushy Lake; Mission Tejas State Park Trail is a great local trail. All through the warm months highs here at Brushy Lake get into the 90's; the night is fairly colder                  of course, typically in the 70's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Brushy Lake.
