You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Brushy Lake. Hiking along the Mission Tejas State Park Trail is splendid fun, and the Neches Bluff Trail offers hiking at its best. Through the days of summer highs here at Brushy Lake reach the 90's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's with temperatures at Brushy       Lake dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. Brushy Lake mostly gets a large amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most; August is when it's the driest. Brushy Lake is right by the Old Tram Hiking Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Executive Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Allen Branch is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting, and Duren Lake Dam is an out                  of the ordinary thing to check out. Why not camp at Mouth of Hickory Creek Campground since you're here at Brushy Lake; there are other locations here than Brushy Lake, for example Forman Lake.
