     Pine Springs Campground is a magnificent campground nearby, and you'll discover a striking lake called Horseshoe Lake. There's some flowing water close by, Butler Branch is a stream you can visit during your stay, and Neches Bluff Campground is a splendid local campground. Brushy Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly May, that's the one that rains the most, and August meanwhile is the driest month. This lake  
   is so wonderful. Brushy Lake is a location with many visitors from Jacksonville, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Neches Bluff Trail.
At Brushy Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 90's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 70's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's; night lows at Brushy Lake through the wintertime typically sink into the 30's. The Mission Tejas State Park Trail is a tremendous hiking trail
 
               in close proximity to Brushy Lake, and lakes are such calm locations, why not explore Coon Pond.

Just hiked the 20 mile trail north to south yesterday. Nice terrain, but the trail is in horrible shape. It looks like there has been no maintenence this year. In some parts, brush covering the trail was higher than my head....The Four C's is a beautiful trail, representative of the pinewoods area. Be familiar with landmarks as they can be very tricky....
