If you fancy the outdoors, you'll love Brooks Pond. Brooks Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Sam Rayburn Mobile Home and RV is a great local campground. You'll come across a gorgeous lake called Linsey Lake near Brooks Pond, and a pleasant site to camp here at Brooks Pond is Martin Dies Jr. State Park. This lake is so wonderful. Econo Lodge Jasper is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and       you can go for a hike on the Martin Dies State Park Trail. Don't leave Brooks Pond without first going for a hike along the Sawmill Hiking Trail, and there's some exciting stuff to spot at Linsey Lake Dam next to Brooks Pond. The warmest time of the year at Brooks Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 70's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's; through the dark hours in the winter at Brooks Pond                  temperatures drop to the 30's. If you need a site to stay Budget Inn is a nice choice, and going for a hike on the Old River Woodland Trail is always a great adventure.
