A short trip to Boykin Spring is always worthwhile, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Jasper is a great spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Bouton Lake is in close proximity, and hiking along the Martin Dies State Park Trail is pleasant fun. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Boykin Lake is excellent! Take       a hike on the Old River Woodland Trail, and if you came to camp Double Heart RV Park is a great site to do that. There's some flowing water close by, Boykin Creek is a stream you can pop by during your stay; camping at Twin Dikes Marina is always a delightful experience. Boykin Lake is a wet place that gets much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is December while August is usually the driest month. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you                  can always visit nearby Boykin Spring Lake, and Americas Best Value Inn Woodville is a brilliant location to get some rest. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Boykin Lake. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows at Boykin Lake throughout the wintertime regularly sink into the 30's.
