Whitewater paddling is splendid on Little Blanco River, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Old Hancock Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Boy Scout Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Boy Scout Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.       In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blanco River, and a magnificent location is Smith Hollow. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Boy Scout Lake has to offer, you can camp at Bunk Haus Lodging and RV Park. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Boy Scout Lake. The Guadalupe Park Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close to Boy Scout Lake; since you                  might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Pierce Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Boy Scout Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Riverside Resort and Campgrounds is a great place for that; do take a look at Boy Scout Dam while you're here.
