If you are in Liberty county it's always a good idea to stop by Boones Lake. Boones Lake is a relatively wet place commonly with a good deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. If the weather is good here at Boones Lake, you can go for a hike along the Lake Livingston State Park Trail, and Boones Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Chain-o-lakes Resort is a perfect local
campground. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Boones Lake, too delightful to be true. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Cleveland is a fine choice.
Going for a hike along the Double Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, naturally you could also stop by Gator Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Mercy Trail is magnificent fun, and camping at Big Creek RV Park is always

a tremendous experience. Throughout the summertime months here at Boones Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 70's. Throughout the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Boones Lake are in the 30's.

Lake Run-A-Muck
I remember living about 3 or 4 dirt roads past the lake coming from the main entrance (somewhere between Elsie's Alley and Rene Ln) when I was a kid (1978-1979), and the place looked nasty back then, as I believe it was a slow development.  Mostly cheap mobile homes, dirt roads and dangerous living, I could't go outside much with all of the snakes that were running loose within easy sight on a DAILY basis.  I wouldn't mids driving through to see what has since become of it, but my memory is remembers this place vividly, and not in a good way....
