Bog Lake is not far at all from Jacksonville, and Bog Lake is right by the Mission Tejas State Park Trail. Any time is a good time at Bog Lake if you adore the outdoors. There's some flowing water close by, Bluff Creek is a stream you can check out during your stay, and the Neches Bluff Trail offers hiking at its best. All through the long summer days at Bog Lake highs are generally in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours       of summer temperatures drop down into the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and overnight lows during the winter for Bog Lake tend to be in the 30's. Best Western Executive Inn is a fine place to get some rest. Lakes are nice; Forman Lake is a lake that's right next door to Bog Lake. Bog Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Neches Bluff Campground is a great local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Old Tram Hiking                  Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Bog Lake a wet site; May is when you get the most rain here while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
