The Mission Tejas State Park Trail offers hiking at its best. Man, is there a load of entertaining things to do right next door to Bog Lake. Don't leave       Bog Lake without first going for a hike along the Neches Bluff Trail, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Executive Inn is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Bog Lake is in the neighborhood, and camping is available at Neches Bluff Campground. Bog Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and August on the other hand is the driest. There's splendid hiking along                  the Old Tram Hiking Trail, and why not camp at Mouth of Hickory Creek Campground if you're here at Bog Lake. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Bog Lake; the night is rather cooler of course, regularly in the 70's.
