From Blue Waterhole you acquire a nice view of Flag Mountain; going for a hike on the Hill Country State Natural Area Trail is always a magnificent adventure. At Blue Waterhole during the summertime highs are in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's while Blue Waterhole night low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's.       Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Verde Creek, and Caribbean Cowboy RV Resort is a great campground nearby. If you come at the right time of year, Hondo Creek offers some brilliant whitewater, and you can stay the night at Koyote Ranch. What a site this is for outdoors people.
