Big Thicket National Preserve is one of the destinations close to Blue Hole that are fine to go to, and Red Cloud Recreational Vehicle Park is a good campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Old Mill Pond. There is a great hiking trail close to Blue Hole called the Big Thicket - Kirby Nature Trail It's always wonderful       to check out Meadows Springs. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn & Suites Lumberton; Cane Slough is in the neighborhood of Blue Hole and is always a bliss to stop by. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Blue Hole while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 60's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Blue Hole descend into the 30's. Whohoo,                  so much fun stuff in one place! Blue Hole is so good! If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BEAUMONT NW is a good choice, and nearby you hit upon the Tyrell Park Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. Blue Hole is not the only site nearby, Harper Pond is a nearby lake; on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Roy E Larsen Sandyland Sanctuary Trail.
