It's always fun to stop by Blackburn Pond. So many fun things to do at Blackburn Pond, so little time. There is a fine hiking trail right next door to Blackburn Pond called the Nature Trail, and Holiday Inn Express Jacksonville, Tx is a fine site to get some rest. Blackburn Pond is a fine location to visit for more than one day, Lake Palestine Campground and Lodge is a fine location to camp nearby; you are near Blackburn Bay if you're here. This lake is so wonderful.

There's whitewater on Neches River for all you adrenaline junkies, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Executive Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two. At Blackburn Crossing Dam right next door to Blackburn Pond there are some exciting things to see, and Big Steve's RV Park is a tremendous campground nearby. If you're here at Blackburn Pond, checking out Anderson Bluff is a must, and some of the water nearby flows, like Flat Creek. Summertime at Blackburn Pond arrives with high temperatures
in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. Through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Blackburn Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Near Blackburn Pond you hit
upon the Mount Hope Tract Trail which is a nice hiking trail; lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop by Alligator Lake.
