What a nice lake Black Waterhole is. But wait, there's more to do near Black Waterhole. Salt Creek is near Black Waterhole and is always a delight to go to, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Dry Frio River. The top of Traprock Hill is easily spotted from Black Waterhole. There's so much to do here at Black Waterhole that you need to camp here for a while, Quail Springs RV Park is a great place for that.

| | month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; March is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Garner State Park Trail, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites UVALDE is a fine place to get some rest. The good people of Uvalde like to hang out close by; there are some fine whitewater spots on Frio River.
