Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Columbus, Tx is a brilliant spot to get some rest, and East Fork East Sandy Creek is right next door to Black Lake and is always a diversion to go to. Black Lake is a good place of common precipitation; during May this area sees the most rain; July is when it's the driest. If you need a location to stay Passport Inn & Suites Columbus       is a nice choice, and Black Lake is a tremendous site to visit for more than one day, Motorcoach and RV Park is a tremendous site to camp nearby. KOA Kampgrounds is a wonderful campground nearby, and going for a hike along the Old Spanish Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. At Black Lake through the warm months highs are in the 90's while overnight lows are regularly in the 70's.
