     Americas Best Value Inn - Somerville is a perfect site to get some rest, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Brazos River. The amount of rain that falls at Black Lake is close to the national average; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is August. This lake is so wonderful. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Yegua Creek Park Nature Trail, and why not camp at Road-runners Camp Ground while you're here at Black Lake.  
   There's just no way someone can get bored here at Black Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Inn Bryan College Station, and going for a hike along the Lake Somerville Trailway will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
While you're here at Black Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby College Station-Bryan, and camping is available at Timberlake Mobile Home Park. This is a brilliant area for people who like lakes. Palmer Lake is a lake in the
 
               neighborhood. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Black Lake with night lows in the 70's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Black Lake are in the 30's.
You're possibly addicted to lakes, Moelhman Slough is one of those nearby, and do take a hike on the Lake Bryan Trail.
