Birdwell Lake is a wet site that gets a good deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest month is August. This       lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Martin Dies State Park Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Birdwell Lake Dam is a location that is close to Birdwell Lake. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Birdwell Lake reach the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Birdwell Lake are in the 30's.
