You'll need more than a day to look at everything Big Lake has to offer, you can camp at Camp Live Oak, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Lake; Lost Maples State Natural Area Trails is a good local trail. Big Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; October is the month that gets the most rain, and December is the month       with the least moisture. All through the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 90's at Big Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are generally in the 60's; night lows at Big Lake all through the wintertime typically plunge into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Pfletcher Lake is close by, and great hiking is available along the Garner State Park                  Trail.
