Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BEAUMONT NW, and Red Cloud Recreational Vehicle Park is a brilliant campground nearby. Big Eddy Lake is a wet location that gets a lot of rainfall; during June this area sees the most rain, and April on the other hand is the driest.       This lake is so wonderful. Gentry Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit; Big Eddy Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Village Creek State Park is a great site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Big Thicket National Preserve is a national park worth taking a look at. Big Eddy Lake in fact is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. Big Eddy Lake is right by the Big Thicket - Kirby Nature Trail; a tour                  to Johnsons Eddy will fill your soul with tremendous feelings. During the months of summer highs here at Big Eddy Lake reach the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's; during the dark hours in the winter at Big Eddy Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. There are plenty of people from Beaumont-Port Arthur here at Big Eddy Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Tyrell Park Trail.
