Stay the night at Buffalo Springs Lake; not far from Benson Lake you'll stumble on Buffalo Springs Lake which is a stunning lake. Not much rain falls here at Benson Lake; June is the month that gets the most rain; January meanwhile is the driest month. Not far from Benson Lake you get some fine water scenery at Benson Lake Dam, and after a long day outdoors Knights Inn       Slaton is a nice location to spend a night or two. If you come at the right time of year, Brazos River - Double Mountain Fork - North Fork offers some brilliant whitewater, and if you need a site to stay Lubbock Days Inn South is a fine choice. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Benson Lake. Here at Benson Lake there are plenty of folks from Lubbock, and if you're a golfer then a wonderful nearby course is Meadowbrook Golf Course. Summertime                  brings highs in the 90's to Benson Lake, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Benson Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. There's so much to do here at Benson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wildwood Mobile Home Village is a great site for that.
