Why not have a look at Benbrook Dam while you're here, and going for a hike on the Crosstimbers Trail is always a good adventure. The cheerful folks of Granbury like to hang out close by. so wonderful. There is a glorious hiking trail close to Benbrook Lake called the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge Trails, and Benbrook Lake is a wonderful site to visit for more than one day, Big Bend Motor Inn and RV Campground
is a wonderful site to camp nearby. On a good day at Benbrook Lake you can take a hike along the Benbrook Lake Trail; you can run the rapids of Trinity River - West Fork.
