Get soaked paddling on Middle Bosque River, and not far from Bass Lake you acquire some great water scenery at Bass Lake Dam. Bass Lake is not far at all from Waco, and paddling on Hog Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Bass Lake is right by the Cameron Park Hike and Bike Trail, and you need to have a look at Horseshoe Bend if you're here. Hiking along the Mother Neff State Park       Trail is wonderful fun, and a great close by hotel is Super 8 Waco/Mall area TX. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Bass Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Towkaw Falls RV Park is a good site to camp, and if you need a spot to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites Woodway is a wonderful choice. High temperatures at Bass Lake during the summer months are in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 70's. The                  cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Bass Lake temperatures drop to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Quail Crossing RV Park is a tremendous local campground, and do take a hike on the Lake Whitney State Park Hiking Trail.
