Camping at Lockhart State Park is always a nice experience, and going for a hike on the Rock Shelter Trail is always a nice adventure. Site Number Fifteen is a nearby lake that you could stop by; if you come at the right time of year, Onion Creek offers some fine whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Lockhart Inn is a great choice, and Barth Lake is a place with many visitors from Austin-Round Rock.       An average amount of rainfall falls at Barth Lake; May is the month that gets the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Barth Lake. Camping is available at Leisure Camp and RV Park; there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Onion Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Lockhart State Park Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in close proximity to Barth Lake; Best Western                  Lockhart Hotel & Suites is a pleasant place to get some rest. Why not explore Barth Lake Dam if you're here; if you get bored of Barth Lake you could also explore close by Site Number Twenty. Soar down the rapids of San Marcos River in a kayak; some nearby water includes Elm Creek. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Barth Lake, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's.
