Balmorhea Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Balmorhea State Park is a brilliant local campground, and a pleasant spot nearby is Kountz Draw. During the summer months at Balmorhea Lake highs are frequently in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. During the winter highs are frequently in the 60's with temperatures at Balmorhea       Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Balmorhea Lake is ordinarily a rather dehydrated place; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain while March is regularly the driest month. Lakes are magnificent; Loma Lake is a lake that's close to Balmorhea Lake, and Best Western Swiss Clock Inn is a good site to get some rest. A good place to camp here at Balmorhea Lake is Overland                  Trail Campground, and not far from Balmorhea Lake you'll locate Lake Balmorhea which is a lovely lake.
