Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Lake Austin, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 60's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Austin sink into the 40's. People from Bay City love to come to Lake Austin, and nice hiking is available along the San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge Trail.       This lake is so wonderful. La Quinta Inn AND Suites Bay City is a good location to get some rest; Lighthouse Landing RV Park is a good campground nearby. Lake Austin gets a great deal of water; September is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is March. Stay the night at Riverside RV Park.
