During the days of summer at Lake Austin temperatures are frequently in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 70's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 60's; nighttime lows in the 40's for Lake Austin. Lake Austin       gets a good deal of water; most of the rain falls through September while March is regularly the driest month. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Lake Austin. There's tremendous hiking along the San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge Trail. Lakes are glorious; Lake Kilbride is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Lake Austin, and after a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn AND Suites Bay City is a nice place to spend a night or two. People from                  Bay City love to come to Lake Austin; Riverside RV Park is a tremendous local campground. This lake is so wonderful. This is a nice region for folks who like lakes.
