Why not take a refreshing hike along the Arkansas Bend Trail; of course Bear Creek flows through this area. Hiking along the Waterfall Trail is good fun, and you can take a little spree to Apache Lake Dam while you're here at Apache Lake. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Travis is close to Apache Lake, and Falconhead Golf Club is a brilliant golf course close by. Through the warm days of summer here       at Apache Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 90's while nighttime lows are typically in the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Apache Lake temperatures plunge to the 30's. A nice place for whitewater paddling close to Apache Lake is Barton Creek, and if you need a spot to stay Vintage Villas is a pleasant choice. Any time is a pleasant time at Apache Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors.                  Take a hike on the Pecan Grove Trail. A short spree to Santa Monica Springs is always worthwhile, of course you could also check out Lake Travis if you're here; it's not far at all. The annual rain here at Apache Lake is about average; May is when you get the most rain here; December is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Harrison Hollow is always fun, and a perfect nearby hotel is Hampton Inn & Suites Austin. This place rocks, just explore all the cool stuff to do close to Apache Lake. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bull Creek. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Apache Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Travis Inn and RV Park.
