If you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Oak Trail Golf Course, and after a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn & Suites Corsicana is a great spot to spend a night or two. Allison South Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; the month with most of the rain is May; July meanwhile is the driest month. Allison South Lake Dam has magnificent water scenery       and it's close to Allison South Lake; a wonderful nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CORSICANA I-45. If you're visiting Allison South Lake from Corsicana, you won't be the only one, and tremendous hiking is available along the Tonkawa Trail. For the duration of the warm months at Allison South Lake temperatures are frequently in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 70's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 50's with                  temperatures at Allison South Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights.
