A visit to Alexander Lake is always a good idea. Near Alexander Lake you stumble on the Prospect Park Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and you'll find a lovely lake called M D Heatly Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Alexander Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Plum Creek Recreational Vehicle Resort is a good spot for that, and you'll in all probability meet some folks from Austin-Round Rock here. | | River is so much fun, and after a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn AND Suites Kyle is a great place to spend a night or two. Alexander Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, United Campgrounds-san Marcos is a perfect local campground; Plum Creek Golf Course is a golf course nearby. Go for a hike on the Circle C Slaughter Creek Trail; lakes are such calm locations, why not stop by Hays County Park Lake. You just should like Alexander Lake. San | |

Marcos River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Southgate Inn & Suites. High temperatures at Alexander Lake through the summer months are in the 90's. Summer overnight lows
fall down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 50's while Alexander Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Alexander Lake; most of the
rain falls all through May; January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Do have a look at Alexander Lake Dam since you're here at Alexander Lake; going for a hike on the Mary Moore Searight Park Trail is always a great adventure.
