What a location this is for outdoors people. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Doc Rogers Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Hiwassee River. Witts Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Tellico Plains Koa is a glorious local campground; do take a hike on the Conasauga Falls Trail. Float down the rapids of Coker Creek in a kayak, and Yeller Nugget Lake Dam has magnificent       water scenery. Summertime highs at Witts Pond typically tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while Witts Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is one of the great places here in the Great Smoky Mountains. That right there is heaps of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Great Smoky Mountains has it all. You're                  most likely hooked on lakes, Yeller Nugget Lake is one of those close by, and you're sure to bump into some cheerful people from Athens here. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Great Smoky Mountains. If you came to camp Coker Creek Village is a good site to do that, and Econo Lodge Sweetwater is a good spot to get some rest. Witts Pond is a wet place that gets much rain; most of the rain falls all through March, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
